Meet the 3IB's: Ruhi

Ruhi Patil 3IB student

Ruhi Patil, a 3IB student, has a strong passion for the sciences, particularly biology and psychology. She is taking English A SL, Norwegian B HL, Biology HL, Chemistry HL, Psychology SL, and Mathematics AA SL. Since middle school, she has been fascinated by biology, especially the human body, and also finds psychological theories intriguing. Ruhi has already been accepted to study medicine at Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary, where she plans to become a doctor. Alongside academics, she has been actively involved in extracurriculars, serving as the president of MUN, deputy leader in PLA, and participating in MEP and NNH. She emphasizes the importance of avoiding procrastination, managing time well, and experimenting with different study methods. For example, she found that mind maps don’t work for her in biology, so she explores other techniques like flashcards. Her advice to younger IB students is to prioritize sleep (at least six hours), take mental and social breaks, and find a study routine that suits them best.
