Bessegen school trip 2024

The 3IB class got the chance to go to Bessegen in September 5th to 6th. The trip was amazing and we had fantastic weather!

On the first day we stayed at the DNT turist hytte Gjendesheim. We got the chance to walk around and explore the area and view the beautiful fjord with its glacier blue water.

The boys shared a big dorm, and the girls got paired together in rooms. The rooms were cozy and yet comfortable and felt authentic.

We were served a meat stew for dinner, including dessert and learned more about the local flora and fauna.

Gjendesheim has a nice common area where we all together played board games and talked.

On the second day we hiked. We could choose between a 8km and 10km hike, somewhere also able to stay behind. Before the hike we crossed the fjord on a ferry. Then we began the hike.The 10km hike was intense but the view was amazing as we scaled the mountains. We also got to drink from fresh river water. Already by lunch we were all a bit exhausted, but we arrived at the buses in good time and immediately headed home.

We are really greatful for the trip and getting time to hangout together in our last year.
