Students travel to The Hague for THIMUN 2020
THIMUN (The Hague International Model United Nations) is an annual five-day MUN conference. This year, over 3200 students and teachers from 200 schools from over 100 ethnicities attended at the World Forum in The Hague, including 12 students from our very own Nesbru Videregående Skole. Nesbru is one of only three Norwegian schools who get invited to this grand conference, and we are also the only public Norwegian school to attain this honor. This year, Nesbru’s delegation represented the Kingdom of Thailand, which lasted from the 26th of January to the 31st. Their delegation consisted of ten students from 2IB, which included the current president of NESMUN and ambassador of the delegation, as well as two students from the International VG1 class. The trip was an incredible and culturally enriching experience for the group, most of whom were attending for the first and last time. THIMUN is well and beyond a shadow of a doubt truly the most grandiose of MUN conferences, and their attitude towards not sparing a single expense to make the conference feel as spectacular is possible unsurprisingly made for a wonderful week of debating and fun.
